Just in time for its 10th anniversary, DRESDEN-concept presents a science exhibition titled “How will we live in the future?” The exhibition features current cooperative research projects and innovations in the fields of digitalization, life, climate & water, mobility, material, and cultural heritage. The MPI-CBG presents its research together with other Dresden life science institutes, e. g. BIOTEC, CSBD, PoL, DZNE and HZDR, in the section 'LIFE'.
On October 10th, the exhibition was officially opened by the CEO of DRESDEN-concept e.V. Prof. Gerhard Rödel, the Mayor of the City of Dresden Dirk Hilbert and the Rector of the TU Dresden Prof. Ursula M. Staudinger in front of the Dresden Kulturpalast.
Citizens and guests of Dresden are invited to take a closer look at the scientific highlights of Dresden's research from 10 to 31 October 2020. The younger generally is highly encouraged to attend and participate. With playful elements and research topics designed to appeal to children and young people, they can get a first impression of science.
DRESDEN-concept is dedicated to make science visible and accessible to the public and to translate results from science to the public. In this joint exhibition, the alliance shows the importance and strength of cooperative research in Dresden.
What is DRESDEN-concept?
Under the DRESDEN-concept roof, an alliance of 32 Dresden research and cultural institutions, scientists work on common topics across institutes and disciplines. They benefit from the short distances between the partner institutions, the close coordination and joint application of research projects, as well as the use of infrastructures in a cooperative way. The close, trustful, and interdisciplinary cooperation of Dresden's research and cultural institutions under the roof of DRESDEN-concept is crucial for Dresden as an excellent science location for researchers and students. DRESDEN-concept is also a significant factor for the rapid development of the TU Dresden, which is one of the eleven German universities of excellence and one of the 100 most innovative universities worldwide. https://dresden-concept.de/
