Physics of Life Excellence Postdoctoral Fellows Program
The Physics of Life (PoL) Excellence Postdoctoral Fellows Program combines intellectual independence with an interdisciplinary and collaborative environment. At PoL, we aim to unveil the fundamental physical principles underlying the spatiotemporal organization of living matter across scales. Through different research avenues, we combine biological physics and quantitative biology to approach fundamental questions while bridging scales and developing new technologies.
The Physics of Life (PoL) Excellence Postdoctoral Fellows (EPF) Program provides a unique interdisciplinary environment, scientific independence and generous resources to the most outstanding young scientists in the field. The Excellence Postdoctoral Fellows Program combines intellectual independence with an interdisciplinary and collaborative environment. Each Excellence Fellow will choose one of the New PoL Groups and one additional PoL Group or Affiliate/Associate Group as host groups to perform a collaborative project. Excellence Fellows benefit from the wide range of expertise in Biological Physics, Quantitative Biology and Computer Science in Dresden.
Details of the PoL Excellence Postdoctoral Fellows Program
- Position will be covered for 3 years with an optional one-year extension
- Core funding to cover research costs, travel, open access etc.
- Scientific independence to design and execute research projects
