Biomolecular Condensates and Polymer Phase Transitions

We are pleased to announce that applications are now open for the workshop Biomolecular Condensates and Polymer Phase Transitions, which will be held May 25–28, 2025 in Meißen near Dresden, within the framework of the biannual series of workshops Dresden Polymer Discussion. The registration deadline is May 5, 2025.

The aim of this conference is to bring together researchers and young scholars from different disciplines to discuss current developments in this rapidly evolving field of research to promote cooperation, in particular between modern polymer research and biology. Around 20 international experts will share their latest research, and we have allotted ample time for in-depth discussions and networking. Applicants will also have the opportunity to apply for a contributed talk, and to present a poster.

The focus sessions of this workshop are:

• Theory and modeling of condensates
• DNA and condensates
• Phase transitions in complex polymer solutions
• Properties and evolution of disordered proteins
• Biological functions and condensates
