Dresden is partner site of three German Centers for Health Research (DZGs), namely German Center for Neurodegenerative Diseases (DZNE), Paul-Langerhans-Institute Dresden of the German Center for Diabetes Research (PLID/DZD) and the German Center Consortium (DKTK).

The Joint Dresden DZG Symposium is an exchange forum for young and established scientists to discuss current research strategies as well as latest research methods in the individual centers. The aim is not only to get to know each other a little better, but also to inform about the methods and infrastructures available for the community.

At the 4th Joint Dresden DZG Symposium, Prof. Stefan Diez (BCUBE/PoL) gave an introduction of the Excellence Cluster Physics of Life, followed by Dr. Natalie Dye (PoL/MPI-CBG/MSNZ) with her presentation on her project linking the dynamics and mechanics of tumor organoid morphogenesis to cancer patient prognosis.
