Application and Evaluation
Applications can be submitted at any time, and will be evaluated on a rolling basis by a dedicated selection committee. Submission in advance is strongly encouraged, to ensure timely organization of travel and accommodation.
Interested visitors should submit a proposal (maximum 2 pages) that includes:
The scientific topics and objectives of the visit.
The planned duration and preferred time frame.
A description of the benefit for PoL (e.g., new collaborations, joint projects, shared methods, seminars, workshops, or training activities).
An explanation of how the potential research activities fit with one or more PoL Research Avenues
The names of the PoL core PIs / Associates with whom you plan to collaborate or interact during the visit and a brief description of the nature of those collaborations.
Each visitor must be hosted by at least two PoL PIs, who will provide working space, basic infrastructure, and facilitate integration into ongoing research and PoL activities.
Selection Criteria
Proposals will be evaluated based on:
Scientific excellence and relevance to PoL research.
Potential benefit for PoL (e.g., fostering new collaborations, joint publications, training opportunities, etc.).
Feasibility of the proposed activities within the planned stay.
Expectations
During their stay, visitors are expected to actively participate in PoL activities such as group meetings, seminars, and workshops, and to engage with the PoL community.
